2010 saw the launch of the first ever global Joomla Open Source Creative and Artistic Recognition (J.O.S.C.A.R.) awards which was successfully repeated in 2011. The J.O.S.C.A.R event is now firmly on the Joomla calendar.

4th March - Award categories announced

We will be tweaking some of the categories this year as a result of your feedback and the categories selected by the International Jury will be announced on this date and nominations begin.

Please remember that these are only nominations for a shortlist so don't waste your time campaigning for votes. 

15th April - Close of nominations

The International Jury will now wade through all the nominations to produce a shortlist of finalists.

22nd April - Shortlist announced

After much deliberation and hopefully without any tears the shortlist will have been finalised and announced. We are doing this a few weeks before J and Beyond to give you the attendees sufficient time to check out the shortlisted nominees.

6th May - Voting starts

All attendees at J and Beyond will receive a voting form on arrival so that they can cast their votes.

18th May - J.O.S.C.A.R awards ceremony

At a star studded ceremony the winners will be announced. Hopefully J!TV will be on hand to interview all the winners, commiserate with the runners up and to comment on the audience's fashion or lack of.
