Way back in 2005, Hung Dinh, an avid fan of phpnuke, found Mambo and designed a basic template to suit his homepage. Well, while the homepage never saw the light of day, the template design was an instant hit and orders began rolling in. Form that success came mambotheme.com - producing templates for Mambo CMS.

In late 2005, when Joomla! was born out of Mambo, Hung migrated mambotheme.com into JoomlArt.com the company he owns today. While Joomlart.com remians a Joomla! Template and Extension Club, additional stuff has been added to expand the development and designs focus to covers Magento and Drupal Designs and extensions.

JoomlArt is the proud developer of JA Purity, a template distributed with every Joomla! 1.5.xx download and keeping up the tradition JA Purity II (Best free template ever) was released to the community under GNU/GPL in August 2009 along with the T3 Template Framework (GNU/GPL). T3 framework now powers all the recent templates at JoomlArt and as well as at Gavick.com. Many other template clubs have shown interest to adapting the T3 Framework for their templates too. And things will only get bigger and brighter with JoomlaArt's upcoming release of the T3 V2 framework, jam packed with new features and more accessible to users and developers than ever before.

Joomla! beyond distribution licensing: legal tools for a collaborative open source community

A conference such as J and Beyond is crazy in all aspects, and this is part of the fun preparing it. In normal situations you are quite sad to announce that some speakers are not able to join your event even if they have promised before they will come in any circumstances.

This time we are really honored to announce a late speaker. Ryan Ozimek CEO of PicNet promised to bring one of his famous penguins to our event. If you are wondering where you know the name from somewhere around the Joomla world? Yes, you are right. Beside being the man with the penguin since the beginning of this year, Ryan is president of Open Source Matters Inc.

Ryan has been involved in the project for a very long time and his efforts for transparency and better relationships with the community are well known. During our conference Ryan will give a talk about Community involvement and I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of time for your questions.

We realized that some people still wait to buy their tickets for J and Beyond. As much as I can understand this we like to inform you that the ticket sales will end Friday, 28th of May 2010, 8PM CET. There will be no opportunity to buy tickets on site! As we really do not want to refuse your entrance on the event please make sure that you buy your tickets before this final deadline online.
