Joomla Open Source Creative and Artistic Recognition Awards
2010 saw the launch of the first ever global Joomla Open Source Creative and Artistic Recognition (J.O.S.C.A.R.) awards which was successfully repeated in 2011. The J.O.S.C.A.R event is now firmly on the Joomla calendar.
Nominations are made by you the Joomla community and a shortlist is created from this by an International Jury. The list of finalist will be announced on the 9th May to give you the attendees sufficient time to check out the shortlisted nominees.
All attendees at J and Beyond will receive a voting form on arrival so that they can cast their votes and at a star studded ceremony the winners will be announced on the 19th May. Hopefully J!TV will be on hand to interview all the winners, commiserate with the runners up and to comment on the audience's fashion or lack of.

Last week we closed the public nomination phase of the 2012 J!OSCAR awards and proceeded to the shortlist phase.
A confidential and international jury of Joomla experts was tasked with identifying the very best entries submitted by the Joomla community.
I am happy to report that the shortlist phase is now also complete.
